ActiveHDD Basic
Computers can be time and labour saving devices. Whether it's writing and editing documents, tracking business finances, surfing the Internet, or downloading the latest music tracks, they are a convenience that most people have grown to love.
But along with that convenience can come problems. Nearly every computer user has, at one time or another, experienced issues such as viruses and other malware, the dreaded Blue Screens of Death, inexplicable shutdowns, illegal operations, frozen computers, or a myriad of other computer related problems.
Computers used in high traffic areas, such as those in schools, public libraries, and cybercafes, are even more prone to these kinds of issues and the inconveniences and errors that they cause, such as missing system files or a system that's infected with adware or trojans. System administrators
can spend much of their precious time cleaning up infections and even reinstalling operating systems
as part of their daily routine.
With the ActiveHDD Basic card plugged into a free PCI slot in your computer, you don't have to worry about any of these issues any more. All you need to do is reboot your computer and it is as good as new! |

and data will work properly again.
It's that easy. |

Functions & Features |
| |
 |
When first set up, ActiveHDD uses
only 5KB of hard disk space; over time, it can use up to a maximum of 1.33MB of
hard disk space for its core data.
|
 |
A Dynamic Virtual Hard Disk Drive (DVHDD) is created
and managed by ActiveHDD in protected partitions for
saving new data. ActiveHDD supports a DVHDD
of upto 1207GB, ideal for a computer running Windows NT / 2000 / XP / 2003
server. ActiveHDD ensures that the defragmentation routines can be run and
that large volumes of data can be saved on any protected partition.
|
 |
The VE (Virtual Environment) function is ideal for government and business use, institutes, homes, and the military. When
any partition is protected, all new data written to that hard drive will be
treated as new data.
|
 |
The anti-hacking function is ideal for cyber
cafes, computer labs in schools and colleges, public libraries, and any other computers used by multiple users in high traffic areas. When
a hacker deletes system information on the
guarded partitions and reboots the computer, ActiveHDD
will go into security check mode. The operating system can only be booted
when a manager or administrator inputs the correct serial-number and password.
|
 |
Remote control: with the bundled free software - EZControl - the administrator
could remotely control all client PCs in the WAN which have an ActiveHDD card and EZControl installed. S/he can power a machine on/off, distribute files, and control the recovery card.
|
 |
Net Clone: the admin can clone data from a whole HDD or
specific partitions into client computers.
|
 |
Windows operation interface: with the free EZConfig software,
users can control the ActiveHDD card via a graphical Windows
interface.

Why would you need ActiveHDD? |
| |
Most computer users who've had similar experiences to the following can attest to the need for an ActiveHDD card: |
| |
 |
Your acquaintances,
your children, or your colleagues who are computer novices,
delete important business data or important files needed by your operating system
|
 |
Hackers crash your computer, format your hard drives, or delete important files
|
 |
You download
and install a program from the Internet, resulting in your computer being infected by a dangerous virus, which refuses to boot up
or otherwise behaves erratically
|
When problems such as the above occur,
usually you would have to ask your professional IT friends for help or pay
a computer professional to recover your system. On the other hand, if you are familiar with
computer hardware and software, you would still have to spend
anywhere from several frustrating hours to several nerve-wrecking days to recover the system and to get it back to operational status.
ActiveHDD. It saves you time and money, as well as giving you peace of mind. |
